Come Try it Sessions

Stand up PaddleboardingSurfdock, Ireland’s leading water sports shop and school, has been offering watersports equipment and lessons  in the Grand Canal Basin for the last 20 years.  From windsurfing to kayaking, stand up paddleboarding  to kitesurfing and sailing they organise great activities both in the Dock and on Dublin’s surrounding beaches.

They also have a fantastic new Wakedock with special zipline right in Grand Canal Dock.

As a special promotion on May 18th and 19th they are running great value “come and try it” sessions as part of the Dublin Docklands Festival.  If you fancy trying the exciting new sport of stand up paddling or have a go at kayaking then they have half hour classes running over the course of both days from 10am-2pm. Classes are only €10 per person.

We will supply all equipment necessary, kayaks, SUPs, wetsuits and buoyancy aids. You may wish to bring old runners for your feet if you do not have wetsuit booties.

Please note that the minimum age for going on the water is 8 years and anyone aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also going on the water. All participants must also sign waivers. Waivers for those under 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Please Note: In the interest of safety, please do not enter the water during the festival unless as part of an official supervised festival event. 

WATER HAZARD – Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
