Street Performers


Each year SPWC provide some of the finest street performance artists to entertain the crowds at the Waterways Ireland Docklands Summer Festival.

The street artist’s always wow the crowds with their dazzling array of skills and acts.

This year we will have street performances from the World Street Performance Champions each day from 12 noon onwards.

Leading juggler of rings, batons, knives and even fire – The Juggling Fugitive has performed to over 10 million people in America and Canada while in Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey’s Greatest Show on Earth.


The Juggling Fugitive has also been featured in Life Magazine and on the Good Morning America TV Show.


With over 20 years of internationally acclaimed professional juggling experience this act understands both the Irish humour and how to work with family crowds – his show works on two levels – plenty of interaction with volunteers in the show and lots of top quality jokes too!

Professor Plunger is a crazy inventor with wild hair and even wilder inventions! Prepare to smile, giggle and laugh as the professor introduces the audience to his many gadgets and inventions in a show jam-packed with non- verbal funshine!


The Professor is very absent-minded so he will require the assistance of his Longford audience to make his inventions work. Is he a genius or mad as a brush?  It really doesn’t matter as he presents a show of fantastic comedy and pure fun for everyone!

Gather round, gather round to witness the the jaw-dropping antics of this daring Irishman! With his combination of stupendous bravery, hilarious comedy and very very tall unicycle Ross is ready to dazzle every crowd with his highly-entertaining street show. Is he a crazy man or just brave beyond belief? That is for him to know and you to find out!

Ross O’ Brien is one of Ireland’s most prominent street performers who has developed his skills over the last nine years on the streets of Ireland, Scotland, the UK and Europe. His combination of comedy and high drama entertains crowds in their hundreds and Ross lives for the crowds` reaction! Still a young man Ross is already a veteran of the festival scene with appearances at Galway Arts Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Glastonbury Music Festival and 9(!) appearances at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival already under his belt…a fantastic street performer.

This agile Tanzanian has performed his amazing acrobatics and high-energy limbo at festivals, on stage and in street shows across Europe and Africa. Over the past decade Shah has performed at the largest arenas in Ireland – lighting up the stage of the RDS and The 02. Shah brings the spirit of Africa and its music to every show and is guaranteed to have everyone dancing along! This is a high energy street with tonnes of dancing, laughing and crowd participation. With his infectious smile and good humour this amazing performer will enthrall everyone, young and old alike.
